Get Set for the Rugby in London!

The Rugby takes place in England this September and October, so special train travel advice has been put in place. There aren't many things that Rail Guru loves more than a good BritRail or Eurail pass, but a full-bloodied game of rugby comes pretty close. Therefore, we're pretty excited about the forthcoming RugbyCup that takes place in England this Spring (Britain's Autumn).

We at Rail Guru love nothing more than a good game of rugger, so we're as excited as anyone about the Rugby Cup, which kicks off in England on September 18. The tournament, featuring 20 of the game's hardest-hitting nations, lasts until the end of October, with the final taking place in London on Halloween  - scary.

England's capital is set to become the hub of the 2015 tournament, with matches taking place in the Big Smoke on seven consecutive weekends between September and October. This means that the Eurostar service into London is bound to be particularly popular. As such, the company is implementing a restricted ticketing time limit for group travel over these dates. What's more, tickets for the Eurostar during the Rugby Cup are set to go like gold dust, so your friendly Rail Guru recommends that you try to buy your tickets as far in advance as possible!

With so many like-minded rugby fans set to invade London and the rest of Britain during the tournament (and let's face it, why wouldn't they?) the train services are implementing special measures to ensure that everything remains smoother than a Jonny Wilkinson drop goal.

One of the main ways into Britain is by taking the super-fast Eurostar service from Paris into the smoking heart of London. Demand for Eurostar tickets is expected to be higher than normal as Britain's capital is set to experience world-class rugby on seven consecutive weekends between September and October. This means that the company is implementing a restricted ticketing time limit for group travel over these dates. This also means - tickets for the Eurostar during the Rugby Cup are set to go faster than Jonah Lomu through an English defence, so your friendly Rail Guru recommends that you try to buy your tickets as far in advance as possible - especially if you want your group to sit together!
